To build human capacity fit for the 21st century and beyond in the scarce skills and critical areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (STEMIE) education, Management and Leadership, Science Engagement, Numeracy, Literacy and Reading for the benefit of South African communities & SADC respectively.

• Capacity and Capability development and application in Management and Leadership;
• Capacity and Capability development in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (STEMIE);
• Capacity and Capability development and application in Strategy Development in Management and Leadership;
• Provision of Educational Resources and tools in STEMIE Education;
• Measure impact through Monitoring and Evaluations, and tracking studies;
• Conduct Project Management;
• Develop and implement Numeracy, Reading and Literacy programmes; and
• Early Childhood Development.

To achieve the Company’s Vision and Mission, THE TJ-SMS will:

• Provide the most efficient services and products to its customers;
• Render excellent service and provide products in:
• a. Science Education;
• b. Science Engagement;
• c. Strategy Development; and
• d. Capability and Capacity Development in Management and Leadership.
• Plough back to the communities in our areas of operations through our Foundation;
• Promote Reading and Numeracy;
• Render quality services and products in Early Childhood Development initiatives; and
• Provide Life Skills, Health Education and Career Guidance support.

Business Objectives

The objectives of THE TJ-SMS include but are not limited to:

• (i) Provide business - customised strategy and solutions in Management and Leadership of organisations, business units and entities;
• (ii) Build human capacity in the areas of Management and Leadership, Coaching & Mentoring, Public Science Engagement through Awareness, Communication and Education & STEMI Education at schools and Higher Education Institutions;
• (iii) Identify and nurture talent in STEMI Education and thus contribute towards development of human capacity in STEMI nationally & the SADC; and Provide project/programme monitoring and evaluation in order to advice on programme/project impact.

Business Goals

The following are our major goals:

• (i) Human capacity development in STEMIE, Science Engagement, Business Management and Leadership;
• (ii) Identify and nurture talent in STEMIE education thereby contribute towards development of human capital nationally and in the SADC respectively;
• (iii) Serve the communities, especially the historically/previously marginalised and disadvantaged groups (females, blacks, rural areas and youth);
• Promote scientific literacy;
• (v) Proffer Project Management;
• (vi) Monitoring, Evaluation and impact analysis; and
• (vii) Leadership Coaching and Mentoring.
